I haven't personally looked at this problem, but my slip neighbor has a 2006 40 DA. He gets a small bit of water in the bilge in the aft cabin. Apparently there is a small access panel that you can remove and it's filled up after a small cruise on the water.

Any ideas what are the common sources on this model?

See attached.

Thanks.

One of my slip neighbors was getting water in the same area on his 2007 40. He could not identify a source inside the cabin and ultimately recaulked several areas on the exterior of the boat. That seemed to solve the problem.

Well that's interesting. I will take a look and see what we find.

I don't like the color of that water. Clean it up and dry it. Be there when it leaks or set up some tracers, as in paper towels taped around the perimeter expanding it after frequent rechecks if necessary. Even if the paper towels dry before you next check, they will be disformed and lead to the source.
