2006 32 Sundancer with T 5.7 merc vdrives, enough power?

I wan't talking about your response - I was talking about the boattest info chart another member posted - I dont think you posted a chart - that one clearly lists the conditions and as you said they are un-realistic - that was my only point

No need to measure dicks. My comments are fact based, your comments are subjective. The chart is accurate. Here is a picture of my dash with over 3/4 fuel, full water, 2 people on board. I was doing 24.8 Knots at 3950 rpms. (look at the C80 top right white box) The 6.2's will get the boat on plane a little faster, but the cruising speed /rpm's are comparable.

Love my 320 with ..wait for it......I/O 5.0's! Owned it 6 years and 230+ hours now...150 for the previous owner. Works for me and it worked for the PO.

Thanks everyone, I guess I'll just have to test her and see if she suits my needs

As a former owner of 320DA with 5.7s v-drives I can tell you that she doesn't need anything more. I feel like we're discussing this few times each year, but majority of owners will still have the same opinion. I've put thousands of miles and hundreds of hours on my 320 with a dinghy on swim platform, always full gear and most of the time at least 3/4 of fuel and full water. I have never felt that she was underpowered. Great boat that has great handling.

I can also confirm that for the most part boattest performance numbers are very close to what my boat's real numbers.

As you can see from my sig. I moved up from 240DA (0ver 40MPH boat) and sure enough it took couple of trips to understand that 320DA is not a speed boat. But, ones you get to feel her you'll just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for providing the entertainment with your first post. By the way welcome to CSR.

Safety tip, don’t start your next thread with “I’m thinking about buying a portable generator”.

Now that's some great advice!

Congrats on the 320. I love mine power is perfect. Came from a 260 with a big block. No regrets - perfect power for this boat.

Thanks everyone. Sea trialed her today. She performed well. Its not my 25 ft rinker ec that'll do 42 mph but it seemed to have plenty of power.

IO's are not V-Drives. Bravo III's are very efficient and your 5.0's are 260hp, Mike.

Nice.

Hell, I love my 300da with 4.3s :) (first timer tho)

I'm sure someone has commented before that its not how fast you get there, but how, that is important.
