2006 290 sundancer air conditioner filter access

Does anyone know how to access the a/c filter on my 2006 290 Sundancer?

To access the unit you need to be somewhat of a gymnast. Pull the main berth up into the "couch" position. Climb over. Lift panels underneath berth. You will see the unit. Feel around and you will find a very thin piece of webbed screen that can be pulled out. Wash and slide it back in. It's kinda of a pita.

My pleasure. Did you find the secret storage compartment?? I think these secret storage compartment threads have come up before, but don't search for it! See if you have know where it is and maybe it's not a secret. I'll give you a hint. It's in the cabin . . . and doesn't appear to be a storage area at all by the look of it . . .

2006, 290 Sundance, Cannot find access to air conditioner. I put berth in couch position and crawled over the couch back, saw the so called hidden storage area. did not notice any other panels, do they have handles, screws or any fasteners. All I saw was nice clean carpet.

Thank you I found and removed air filter

Now how do you remove the first cushions from the berth area that's over the air conditioner.

sorry Riverboat captain, just seeing this thread again. Glad you found the AC. I never tried to remove that cushion but if I recall its tricky. You have to find some screws on a bracket that may be buried in the carpet where the back of your knees would be if you were sitting on it like a couch. Hope that makes sense.

FYI the hidden storage i was referring to is under the main berth mirror. That cushion folds down.
