280 Sundancer SOLD

4.3's w/ A1's
We're closing tomorrow on an '06 280 with 50 hrs. on twin 4.3's and 17 hrs. on the gen. White hull with navy blue full camper. The boat is absolutely pristine. We had the bottom repainted in navy blue to match the rest of the boat. The boat is currently in Carolina Beach, NC. I am going to spend the day Saturday familiarizing myself with everything, fueling up etc. Leaving first light on Sunday morning to head south to our home in Mt. Pleasant, SC. If anyone is along the ICW between Carolina Beach and Charleston on Sunday keep a look out for me. Planning a refueling stop in Georgetown, SC but will also be carrying 15 gallons of extra fuel as well just in case. Thanks to all for answering all my questions during my search process. My family and I are very excited. I also look forward to being a new fixture on this board.

Nice, have a good time bringing it home. Wish I could go for a ride in the middle of the winter like you southern folk.

That boat is like a rare vintage wine. You got the best hull and canvas colors, the 4.3s are best with that boat, it has a generator too! Someone took the depreciation hit for you! What else could you ask for? Nice find!

Congrats on the boat!! I'd be a little weary myself on carrying 15 gallons of fuel with me though, especially since there are plenty of stops to fill up along the way. I havent made the trip in at least 10 yrs, but I remember plenty of marinas along the way. SB

Congratulations on your purchase. There are many marinas along the ICW in that stretch. You do not need 15 gallons of gas sloshing about on deck. Go to Barnes and Noble in MT Pleasant as they keep a couple of cruising guides in stock.

There is lots of fuel from Georgetown north. Top off your tank in Georgetown as the marinas are further apart south of Georgetown. If you forget you can always slow down and idle for a long way in that boat. While your poking along get us some pictures.

Good Luck and congratulations.

Congratulations. I am counting down the days till I launch. I have had my boat for the last two years. It is a great boat. Enjoy.

Great trip. Great boat. Started out with ice on the decks in Carolina Beach, NC leaving at 8am and was home safe in sunny and warm Charleston at 4:15. This is going to be fun.

Yes, good to see another 280 owner here. Having had mine for a few years now, I still say that 280 is one of the best all-purpose boats in the SeaRay lineup.. I can sleep 4, entertain 9, lounge on a sunpad, do weekend trips, fit on a trailer, get close to 50MPH (with the t5.0), all with 1.7 MPG when cruising. Lots of good info resides on this baord. Enjoy!

Enjoy your boat! I have had my 05 280 for 1 season and loved it. It's quick and allowed for alot of overnighting for my wife and I. Good luck with it.

Congratulations. We're on our third season with ours and absolutely love the 280. Roll-on summer.

Thanks everyone. Going to be 70 here this weekend so we are going out for a nice Saturday cruise. Actually, even if it were going to be in the 50's we would be on a nice Saturday cruise.
