Hello...
I am new to this forum. Purchased a 2006 240 SD last year. I have been busy getting it ready for the summer.
Changed the props from 24P to 21P
Added a winter cover and added a new summer cover
New tires and wheel brakes to the trailer

We will trailer the boat to Colter Bay, WY (Jackson Hole) in August for the month. Before we go I plan to change out the impeller, cap/rotor, serpentine belt. Any other ideas?
Thank you,
Paul

Good looking boat. Congratulations!

Just wondering - why you are changing the props? The 24 pitch is what I run, and I get right at 5000 rpm at full throttle. Dropping all the way to 21 seems like a real potential for over raving your motor.

For what its worth, I change my impeller every other year when we winterize it. The bravo3 should be pulled and greased, and have the bellows checked every other year as well. My Mechanic does all in the fall as part of the winterization. Then come spring we just clean it up, put the drain plug in, and go.

I changed the props because I spend most of the time above 5,000 ft. I boat in Jackson Hole which is approximately 6,800 ft high. That’s why I changed props....because of the high altitude. I also boat at Steamboat Lake which is 8,000 ft in elevation.
I plan to change the impeller, cap/rotor, serpentine belt next month. Thanks for the info....

Good call on the prop change. I run 22's in Denver with a 270 8.1, and hit 4950.
