First New Boat?

Eddie,

There are lots of boats to choose from and a lot of not so good deals out there, along with numerous opinions & sales persons too! And remember it is always about the commision check for the sales person!

When purchasing a new boat, especially your first at this size and price; you want the boat to be the best fits all of your needs. IE Fishing, Pleasure Boating, Water Skiing, Cruising, Freshwater, Saltwater, Large Body of Water, Small Body of Water, Number of Persons Regularly on the Boat, Price, Quality, Fuel Economy, Etc. The best advice is probably to develope a list of the things you will use the boat for, the features you want, get as many rides from friends that have boats, and take a hard look at the internet for sites that talk seriously about boats. Below is one that may help and there are many more out there.

Horsepower to weight ratio is one of the most important issues out ther, along with the outdrive size. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will be glad to pass on my experiences-good & bad!
