Hi all I am in the market for a 34 Sun dancer Mid 2000 model years.I looked at one last week and noticed that every cabinet spring loaded pull had some sort of patina corrosion to the surface.I know they can be replaced.I am puzzled that all are affected by corrosion.Anyone experience this on there cabinet hardware. Thanks

The thought crossed my mind but all else looks normal

I have seen the patina "corrosion" you are talking about on the Brushed Nickel cabinets they started using in [I believe] MY2005. I'm not sure it is actually corrosion. I would think if the boat had been sunk, damage to the cabinet knobs would be the least of the problems seen. I don't know what causes it but suspected maybe people opening the cabinets with suntan lotion on their hands or something like that. Replacement knobs can be sourced from Flounder Pounder Surplus.

The odd thing is that all the knobs have this issue

I have had it the last 2 years on my cabinet knobs. Most of it comes off with some flitz and rubbing but it is annoying that it keeps coming back.
