I pulled the boat out for the summer and proceeded to get under and scrub off all the algae and growth. While scrubbing I came across several cracks right near the V of the hull on both sides. They were nickel to dime diameter and looked like C's is shape, like half a chip. I could feel them with my fingernail but nothing seemed loose or it was going to flake of chip off. Are these stress fractures?

Should I get them checked out?

I posted this in the sport boat thread, but maybe I will get some insight here instead.

I have a 2005 Sea Ray Sport 185 w/4.3l V6. When I pulled the boat out last weekend I started scrubbing the bottom of all the algae growth and such. While scrubbing I came across several areas near the V of the hull that were cracked. They started about mid-hull and ran to the back and were on either side of the V no more than 2 inches up. They were about dime or nickle size and were shaped like half circles. Nothing seemed soft or loose when I inspected them. Are these some sort of stress fracture? Gel coat peeling? Cosmetic or structural?

They remind me of something getting dropped from the inside and cracking the outside, or hitting the inside with a hammer and cracking the gel coat.

Thoughts or ideas?
