2005 sea ray 280?

IMHO $75,000 is low.

Go ahead and offer this if you wish then they may come back with their bottom dollar as a counter offer.

Before I give you my guess..

I dont see how many hours are on this boat.

Where is it?

Salt water history or fresh only?

As a reference point, Ed’s in Appleton, WI has this same boat, same year, never used, 0 hours, been in the show room for 2 years and will take the same price as MM’s asking price. Factor this in plus the hours used, and this would determine the asking price.

I would be really surprised if you could score that for $75k. I would say $79k would be a good/great deal. If it's in great shape. 240 hours means they used the boat a lot which IMO is a good thing. To me, it tells me that everything is probably working great, and they know how to operate the boat. it has some options that aren't cheap.

If I were to guess, I'd say you may get it for 83,000 to 85,000 this boat only has 60 hrs. on it not 260...

I just bought an '03 280 Sundancer with T 5.0 BIII combo with 5kw genset. 240 hours and VERY clean. Freshwater only and included Garmin chartplotter. Paid $76,500 for it. I think I got a good deal, not great deal. I would say the boat you're looking at would go for about $82-$84K. IMHO.

If not a great deal, you got a very good deal. :)

Where are you guys seeing the hours? Some are saying 60, others 260. I looked and looked at the ad and I dont see hours listed.

I think i would try 80k and see what happens. It's a great boat and you will love it as I have the exact same one. Good luck.

Thanks for everyones help, it is a great looking boat and I love the blue hull. Has anyone had any problems with the painted hulls? The boat is nicelly equipped and I really want the twin 5.0's with Bravo III's. I am trying to sell my Bayliner motoryacht right now so hopefully things will go well with it and I can use it as a downpayment.
