My hatch jammed and when I tried to close it, a roller wheel came off. I obviously need to pull the hatch off to replace the wheel, but have no idea how to do it. I think I need to remove the port side track and lift the whole hatch off at an angle, but I can't get to all of the track screws. That leads me to think I need to remove the trapezoid shape hatch "cover" (forward of the hatch opening), but I'm not sure how its attached. I'm guessing/hoping that it's held by 4200 or caulk, but don't want to damage the fiberglass. Suggestions?

From what I've read this is one the least desirable repairs possible. I hope your model is different but I believe Sea Ray generally builds the entire boat around that door :)

Sorry I don't have the answer - hopefully someone else will. What I would try until I get more info from other owners here would be to call Searay directly to get a schematic . i would also get a remote wired inspection camera under the cover to see what if anything is holding it in place. I would be really careful with that door assembly. They don't make any of them anymore including any of the plastic rail assemblies.

Ouch! I can't even imagine or even think where to start. Sounds like a shitshow though. I'll take a look tomorrow when I get to my boat

Keep us posted cause it's bound to happen to one of us

Great news. I didn't have to remove the hatch cover. I removed all the screws (that I could reach) from both sides of the tracks. I then raised the port side high enough to get the roller wheels out (the track bent significantly without damaging it), while I simultaneously raised the starboard side slider(sp) to clear the stop. I then carefully lifted the aft panel over the lip of the forward panel and off the tracks. I discovered that the problem was the roller wheel locknut failed to retain the screw and it backed out jamming and gouging the track. I cleaned up the gouges and reinstalled the wheel with blue locktite. I also checked the other 3 track wheels and found them to be secure. I then reversed the procedure and successfully reinstalled the hatch door. I siliconed the slide and roller wheels and now its acts like the sled on Christmas Vacation. As a side note, there is a half moon cut out of the top of the port side track. I always wondered why that was there. Well, it's so you can line up the roller wheels under that cutout and lubricate them fore and aft.
