anyone installed a carpet kit over existing carpet in cabin, i see snaps but not sure if someone makes a pre cut carpet to go over existing?

The snaps that you see in the carpet were placed there for canvas runners. We have those runners available direct from the factory and can be produced in any of the popular Sunbrella colors (usually in Heather Beige or Linen Tweed).

We have seen people of place carpeting over the carpeting but keep in mind it is a little bulkier and can be a pain to move when/if you want access to the hatches in the floor.

No problem if you would like a quote on the factory runners let me know. You could send me your info on the request form that you can find on our website: https://www.covemarine.com.

I can also look into fabricating them internally based off the ones I have them for my 2004 340SDA (came with the boat when I got it). I can also try to get you some pictures if needed. The nice thing is that the Sunbrella runner are that they hold liquid spills allowing for them the be wiped up. The runners can also be thrown in the laundry and washed - but always air dry.

I had a guy this year steam clean the carpets …… not traditional carpet cleaning where they spray water and vacuum it up. I thought the carpets were fine but after he steamed them they were like brand new….
