Replaced the helm switch panel which had failed. Now the hatch lift does not operate. Other functions work. Transom door is in the proper position.
Question is, b4 I resort to a manual lift, If I use the supplied cigarette lighter adapter and 12v source does that bypass the hatch lift circuit breaker and relay?

It shouldn't. Does everything else work on that switch panel? If so, then maybe it's the EIM that has an issue?

Hopefully, nothing else is working on the switch panel, and it's just lack of battery charge...

Hopefully just the breaker on the EIM... but you'll have to pull the pins and lift the hatch to find out.

once you do get it open, hard wire a feed to the lift motors and route the wires above deck in a convenient location.

Last year I had a bad ground and the actuator would not work. Had to lift the hatch manually, when I inspected the grounding block I found the wire for the actuator was lose, I removed cleaned and all was well.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I will have to manually lift the hatch.
Maybe a job for superman.

Are the batteries fully charged? If the boat has been sitting all winter with no charge, there might not be enough power in them to provide the amps required from the lift motor.
