How does the light body in the bathroom come apart to change a bulb? It has a large round ring and in the center is the white lense. I thought you were supposed to turn the ring counter clockwise to release it. I used a piece of rubber to get some grip on the ring but nothing moved. I also need to replace a bulb in a light in the lounge area over the couch that I assume will be the same process.

If anybody has a technique or what you are supposed to do to get it apart I would appreciate the help.

it is probably a spring mount light (it is in my 44). is the entire fixture turning? If it is, just pull it down and it will "snap out".

I have a 2007 and you need to pull the ring down. it is held by two spring clips

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll give it a try when I go back to the boat this weekend. If they just have spring clips holding them; that would be easy to remove.

Thanks for the help. I got to the boat this weekend and the trim ring and light body pull out of the ceiling together. There are two springs that hold them in place. It's a tight fit so you have to work them out by prying on opposites sides to slide them staright down. Watch the springs as the light comes out; they will snap at you.
