Considering purchasing a 300 with 225 hours on 5.0L MPI with Bravo 2 - any thoughts/opinions/experiences would be much appreciated. Especially concerned about not being fresh water cooled and perhaps under powered - not buying for speed or performance, just moderate cruising rivers and mid Chesapeake.
Thanks!!

I have spent alot of time on a friend's '03 300DA with T-5.0MPI/Bravo3. For the type of use you are talking about that power package should be fine. I like the extra power so, personally, if I were looking for a 300DA it would be a 350MAG or 6.2MPI Package but again for crusing around you should be just fine.

Some of the salt guys can chime in about the RAW water cooling but from what I understand, as long as the maintenance is done (risers, manifods, etc) you should be OK. Fresh water cooling is certainly preferred in the salt but plenty do not have it and do OK.

The 300DA is a real nice boat.

Thanks for the comments. We will sea trial tomorrow which will be the decision maker. The boat has been well kept/maintained and the cockpit/cabin layout suits our plans really well.

It is plenty of power, for what you mentioned.
