When draining my bilge this weekend I notice something attached to the inside of the drain hole. It appears to be attached and is larger than the drain hole. I'm concerned it is blocking the drain. Any info on what this is?

Very likely its the oil drain hose. Does your drain plug have a clip and wire on it? If so you have the oil drain hose which is attached to that so you can pull it through the hole.

The plug no longer is attached, it used to have a wire but it is gone now. What ever the object is, it is two large to pass through the hole...

It doesn't appear to be a hose, it's too large to pass through the hole.

It is a brass plug screwed into a brass sleeve attached to the end of the oil drain hose. Very tight fit through the hole. You will have to find the hole from the inside and fit the hose through it from the inside and the reattach it to the plug. I just leave mine unattached as I only use the hose 1/year. It is wire tied to a motor mount.

Thanks! I see no way to get to the drain hole from the inside. The object moves around but appears to be attached at the top with a chain. As long as this is not a problem, I may need to live without being able to access the oil drain tube. I appreciate the help!

Thanks!
