2003 Sundancer 380 Oil Change

I have a 2003 380 Dancer that has 8.1 Horizons. I have the oil filter number and I believe the engines hold 9 quarts each. My question is, what kind of oil does Sear Ray recommend?

Or, you can go with a synthetic blend of your choice.

You might consider checking with the previous owner to see what's been used in the past. It's kind of a personal preference kind of thing, as long as you stay within the recommended range, and use a quality product. I use the Mercruiser synthetic.

I think there's an old jug in the cockpit locker. I need to look again, I believe he was using conventional.

The previous owner was using Mercury Mercruiser SAE 25W-40. Question, is that the same as Quicksilver? I notice West Marine doesn't sell Mercury but they do sell Quicksilver.
