2003 41DA or 42DA

Hi everyone I’ve been looking for a 41 DA for a while now. And I ran across a 42Da soft top, diesel, for sale. Looking for opinions on which one would be the better boat ? Also approximate values of each, freshwater, diesels, about 700 hours, not really any upgrades on the 42 but clean. From what I can see in the pictures.

Steve, I had a 2003 420 DA soft top with Cummins for 10 years , it held its value pretty well and over the years on this web site, The only complaint was( the sink is too small), we had years of priceless memories! Steve

If I were your dock neighbor I'd try to convince you to shop for a 420 with the hardtop. It's practically an investment, cut your canvas replacement expense in half

Canvas...ughh...a hardtop is near the top of my wish list for my next boat.

we love our boat, but I had an offer in on a 2004 420DA with a hardtop and hydraulic platform we just couldn't come to terms. All things being equal, I would have went for the 420 and paid more for it. The cockpit "lived" a little smaller but I think that was just a product of the puffier and more plush upholstery versus our 410. The forward stateroom seemed to have slightly less headroom than our 410 but that might not be true

as far as power - same story. I love our 3126's and wouldn't ever complain about them but the 450 diamonds have a great track record. The engine room hatch and room in the bilge seemed better in the 420 as well.
