The carpet in the aft cabin is getting wet. I opened the bed and I can see water in the bilge and it's moving forward soaking the carpet. I'm pretty sure its fresh water. I don;t see any water lines where it could come from. Any ideas ??
Thank you

Since it's a low point, if it's confirmed fresh water and you boat in salt -- it's either coming from outside (ie: rainwater) or inside (from your water system).

It's common for rainwater to get in -- from several places like leaky window, rub rail joint etc -- and make its way back to the aft cabin because that's a low point. There could also be an on-board water source like head, sink, a/c etc. Does that aft bilge (below the bed) have a bilge pump?

Your fresh water tank is under the cushion….. likely from there. Your bildge is well below floor…… also your distribution manifold is in the closet another weak point

Hey Mate ..Thank you for the response. The bilge where the shower drains are dry . I can see behind the electric bed and I only see wires. There is no pump there. I got a feeling it may be coming from the port in the aft cabin. It has been pooring here in FLa so I think I'll dry it up and hose the port

I think our 'Mate' may be down under with a late 03 410.
You are correct Mitch it is a 2003 410 I guess my fingers are 2 big for my keyboard Sorry I will post it again and pay more attention

A couple ideas.

1. Check your galley sink drain. Mine has come loose and leaked. In the same area the fresh water fittings might be leaking.
2. You main AC is under the settee to starboard. It may be clogged up and not draining into the sump, but into the aft cabin area instead.
3. There are several drains/thru hulls behind the fridge, possible point of water there as well.
4. Water lines/drains to the aft head could be leaking.

Thank you. I'm checking it later.

I did have this problem with a window once. Kids were screwing around in the cabin, opened a window and shut it but didn't latch it. Then we got biblical rain, which came in the window and ran down the inside and made its way to the aft cabin. But it could be a number of things like mentioned in the posts above.

Thank you. I'm checking it later.

Make sure your AC Pan under the salon couch is draining into the sump. If the drain hole is clogged and the pan is full of water, that is most likely the culprit. This happened once on my 2001 410da.

as per above dtfeld post:

It was the A/C Drain Thank you

Love it when a problem gets solved quickly anf the poster reports back. Plus I learned something from this post as well, something to keep an eye on on my boat.
