I have a 2003, 290 Sun Sport and it seems like when I have 8 people (heavier wt.) on the boat it tends to take on water that must be coming in through one of the polished silver drain holes going thorough perhaps the starboard side of boat? When you lift the engine hatch BOTH little side drain bowls (left side and right side have round drain plates with holes in them
to drain those :bowls" tend to fill with water ONLY when I have heavier weight in the boat. That is source of the water BUT how is it backflowing in boat when it is to drain? The boat sits lower starboard side as I have 6 batteries on board and it sits little lower on rt side starboard. I have noticed that those 2 small round polished stainless steel EXTERNAL drain ports actually sit at or below slightly the water line on right side. SO wondering how to prevent water from going back through those? Does Sea Ray make any sort of "plug" to insert externally to prevent water back flowing in from ANY of the through hull drain ports that sit closer to water line that may go below water line when heavier weight is in boat?? I wouldn't think that should matter? This only happens with heavier weight on the boat and I have physically verified the boat does sit lower on sight side when swimming behind it. Also verified the two drain ports listed above do sit slightly below water line. NOT to confuse things more BUT also noticed water creeping up in the drain hole that is in the rectangular area where the large rectangular floor based door opens/closes where you store skits or vest in the floor hull of the boat. How would water be creeping up in that drain hole thats in center of boat meant to drain any water that comes from TOP down NOT bottom up?? Hope that makes sense. Any suggestions thanks so much
