2003 260 radio

Hi All…original radio/CD player in my boat. What are my options for being able to play music thru my phone via Bluetooth. Is there an easy option without having to change the existing radio? Or a waterproof Bluetooth speaker option? Thanks!

There’s two different ways to accomplish this with out replacing the head unit.

1.) is a FM transmitter device that plugs into the audio Jack on your phone then puts out a FM signal that you tune your boat radio too.

2.) is a device that plugs into a cigarette/12volt outlet which will connect to your phone via Bluetooth then it puts out a fm signal that you tune your boat radio too.

Thanks do you know which would work better? Do either have interference

They both perform similar just watch the reach of the signal. Personally we preferred the cigarette/12v accessory version because we could also plug a usb cord into it to charge our phone’s at the same time too.

When I had my 2003 260DA we installed a Tranzit Blu Unit from ISimple like this one on Amazon. It is a little more expensive but installed inline with the antenna and cut out the antenna feed when in use. I wired it directly to the "radio" switch in the DC panel. I set a preset station to a clear unused station and updated the unit to use it with their app. It was neat clean and hidden. If I needed to reboot it for any reason (like forcing it to drop a bluetooth connections) I could just toggle the power switch.
