Hi All,

What is the best way to get that door so that my wife can easily operate it. It is so difficult to open/close!

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Not familiar with your boat, but you may need to replace the tracks and rollers. Look for parts at fpmarine.com

Had a similar problem when I first got my previous 245 WE , (basically the same hull). remove any gunk (old dried up lubricant) from the upper and lower tracks with some brakleen and rag and screwdriver. Then lube the tracks with some good silicone spray or LPS 1 as needed. Work it open and closed , repeating cleaning/lubing till it slides easily. Probably take you half an hour but worth the effort. Try not to use WD 40 as it will attract dirt/grime and get gummed up again.
I do this frequently on my 260DA and the cabin door slides very easily..

Same issue with our 260DA. Open the door, take a water hose with a nozzle on it and set it to jet stream. Blast the lower track and you will be shocked at what comes out of it. Let it dry good and spray with a dry lubricant. I found some dry silicone spray at HD and sprayed the tracks good. Had to redo this procedure every month or two, but worked great!
