i currently own a 2000 310 sundancer and i am looking at a 2003 360 sundancer to purchase.any comments on this boat.thanks.

Like all sea rays ...great boats. I personnally would strongly recommend to go to a 380DA though! The 360 is kind of an inbetween with a layout more resembling the 340, while being a much larger and heavier boat closer to the 380 in weight and performance. The 360DA is not too popular and there are great deals and great selections out there for 380s.

I would in general recommend to anyone going to an express cruiser to try to get into a 380 or larger right away. the amenities are just so much bette than the 320/340/360. but that is just my opinion.

Hello I own a 2003 360DA.

My former boat was also a 310DA.
We have Yanmar diesel engines in our 360.
This boat drives and handle like a sports car.
Good layout and what I think is the best 360 property, she stays horizontal, even when you are at cruise speed at 20 knots.
Top speed with diesel engines is around 34 knots.
Also the 360 bilge room is big enough to move around the engines.
The 360 has a very nice design, and has plenty of room.
separate fridge and freezer, a "real" mattress...and a shower with the acrylic enclosure.
I also like the fact the master stateroom has a door.

In the USA it's seems that it isn't a popular model because the size, that is too big to economically handle with a forklift and store in dry stack storage.

Success Peter

Peter is correct ... the 340 is so popular because its the biggest cruiser that will be accepted by dry stck operators. Once you go beyond that it is really wise to step up to the 380 or 410 since they have significantly more interior space, much bigger fridges and galley and also separate shower stalls in the main head. A BIG plus

The 360 in my neck of the woods is kind of an odd duck for the above reasons. However, I have run a 2002 and a 2005 360 and they do handle very well and really do move with 8.1s! If you like it, go for it. Just be prepared to have a boat that is not typically a top seller.

I came from a 04' 300 Dancer
My 02' 360 Dancer has so so so much more room!!
I think it is one of the most under rated Dancer on the market!!
You talk about great deals now!! WOW...
The stand alone freezer is HUGE!!
The Batman shower!! Nice!!
Door to the state room Great.. gives that cozy feel very private!!
The 21 degrees dead rise.. What a ride!!
Engine room tons of room.. Easy to work on..
Handles like a dream around the dock..
You will love this boat good luck in your search

Also the 2008 380DA has the same sizes as the 360DA...
If you don't need to store it in dry stack, it is a option to go for a 360DA.
Some say the 380 model is too big for gassers.
If you can find a nice deal for a 360/380 or 410 with diesels, I would go for that!
I also think the step between a 310 and a 340 is too small.
Try to get a test ride with a dancer above 36 feet with diesels.
Than you really can see if this is a option for you.

Peter.

In the US 360DAs with diesels are unfortunately as rare as 340DAs with diesels. You will have a hard time finding one. I have not looked at 360DAs with diesels but I don't think I have ever seen one when "window shopping" on yacht world. 380DAs are more frequently found with diesels but at a hefty premium and the bulk are gassers. 410DAs are frequently found with diesels but there are a lot of gassers around too.

As I have compared and compared and for our use the 410 would be the perfect boat. It has a very nice layout and is still a step larger than the 380.

Just curious...did you buy your 360 this summer? I remember seeing one on Ebay that had the same Taylormade canvas.

Yes this is the one..
I bought it in March only reason we are selling is my wife wants to go to a 400 sedan bridge.. other wise it is hands down my favorite Searay.. if you want to talk just email me roosevelt14@aol.com

thanks guys for all the input.i wasnt to serious about buying another boat right know because i love my 310 but some of the deals out there make you think.

I drool over the 38Dancer. You are right. . .some deals do make you think. I was thinking right up until August first. Then, after October 1st, thoughts of a new boat went completely off the table.

I am not making a political statement here. . . .but I really do feel less able to upsize boats at the moment, even if they are all on sale at bargain prices.

I agree with you here. I rationalize by saying that my monthly payment on a new boat could fund A LOT of gas for my current boat. This would make for a much more fun season traveling to various destinations than having a dock queen.

Same here ... but it is not so much the economy or all the market jitters that keep me away, it is the fact that I would not be able to sell my 340DA right now either unless I sell it for very little money relatively speaking, so taking advantage of all those deals is not in the picture.

I am sure that boats still sell, but the boat market has slowed down by 30-50% in the last three months.

2005 360 Sundancer. Trying to find replacement hinge rods for the overhead cabinets in the galley? Also does anyone know where the window washer fluid is located?

Thanks in advance,
Cheryl
