2002 Sundancer rear seat cushion

I didn‘t realize there were strict rules. Whatever violations I’ve made does not warrant idiotic responses. Thanks for the welcome. I don’t use Facebook and by “we”, are you authorized to speak for everyone in this forum? Just curious what your role is.

I ("we") are not trying to enforce strict rules and no I don't talk for "everyone" here. When a rule is broken and something needs to be done the moderates will take action. Otherwise they will just let us squabble.

Realistically I was just trying to explain how we play over here and offer a new member advice as to how to get the best results. Think of it mentoring. Being confrontational here will not help. Sometimes a simple "I am sorry I did not realize..." is all that is needed as we want to help. Please don't dig in and fight it - to be honest you did nothing wrong making multiple posts - that is why I posted early on to just give some helpful direction as how to get the best answers - for this or future questions.

As far as my role here... I am just another user however my company is also a site sponsor. I have quite a bit of experience in canvas and upholstery projects on Sea Rays and I am very familiar with the part you were asking about and have redone them in the past. Finding something like that bolster is not going to be easy, and replacement skins do not exist outside of finding a shop to do a reupholstery of it - which is the answer you were already given.

Thanks,
-Kevin

Another productive response. What is it with people that feel like they must make their opinion known with no benefit to anyone? Jeez, bored or what?
Dude take a chill pill. You're acting like an a$$. That will not get you far here. The suggestion was to limit your question on the cushion to one post so you had a single place for quality answers. That is the best way to get a good discussion going on your options, regardless whether you think its the "right way" or not. Two ears and one mouth -- use them appropriately.

Totally respect that. Thank you.

Kevin speaks for me, this is the best forum I have been on, they are trying to help you. I only go to “new posts” so I see all the new posts, I don’t care what category it is….. you would need a salvage boat, or have a shop like Kevin build one custom.

Edit, after seeing the other post, the easiest/cheapest is to take the cushion to a local shop and have them redo it

good luck!

That’s an option. We’ve had 19 hurricanes in the last 10 years. There have been a lot of boats parted-out as a result. Salvage yards are not hard to find. I just need to get lucky and find my part. If not, I’ll get it repaired.

I would think anything from a salavage is probably going to be in worse shape. That piece is quite exposed and the threads also break down with the sun exposure. Recovering is what we would recommend but a good job is not necessarily inexpensive.

Good lord, was this the highlight of your day? Do you also troll facebook looking for opportunities to bitch at people, bitch?
Calm down Francis....Looks like you got the hang of this place with your latest posts....I guess a lot of us (the "we" kevin spoke of) have been here a long time and have become friends...."we" are a bit protective of "our" sandbox....carry on.....and welcome lol
