I have a small leak problem with the large forward hatch during heavy wind driven rain. Rubber is in good shape and is clean. Also, I put duct tape around the hatch for Hurricane Irene and a little water still got in the boat.

Any one have any help on this issue.

Thank you

I had the same. Pull the hatch, silicone around the underside, re-install hatch.

Have you actually witnessed the water dripping in? Is the headliner wet? With wind-driven rain only, mine leaks a bit up and around the lip. Before you pull the whole hatch off and re-bed, make sure it's not something simple. Have someone shoot with a hose and try to isolate where it's coming from. A fingerload of plumbers grease schmeared on the rubber weatherstripping might help to.

Where else? Home Depot!

My 05 340 forward hatch started to leak this summer. Pulled the hatch and replaced the rubber and ran a bead of marine silicone to seal the hatch frame. There was not a drop of silcone from the factory.

Ron,

Thanks so much, I think it is from wind driven rain. I will try the silicone grease on the rubber gasket. I am surprised that the silicone would help seal it so well.

Thanks again,
David
