I have the original Norcold DE-451 that I am looking to replace in the cockpit. Has anyone replaced this with a fridge that will be a direct replacement without having to cut or alter anything?

I replaced mine last year for the same one to avoid any issues, but wondering what’s out there that doesn’t require any adjustments

Here is the image from the link above, for others that will need it in the future. measurements are the cutout needed.

Vitrifigo. More cubic ft inside than Norcold and direct drop in replacement with Norcold flange kit. See pics

Thanks Arnie, I actually did that fridge last year and it went perfect. This is my cockpit fridge that I need now.

I ended up purchasing the new Norcold NR751BB. I was told this replaces the 451 exactly. When I put the fridge in the trim seems smaller than my original. Has anyone had this issue? Can the old flange go on the new fridge?

Hi Arnie,

Am I clear that you used the Vitrifrigo - C115IBD4-F-1 to replace your Norcold DE541, and it was a perfect fit with existing flange kit? I have a 330 EC and everything I have read sounds like a nightmare removing and bringing new unit through the cabin door. Did you have any issues with this?

Jeff,

What did you end up going with? I have a 1998 EC that I need to replace the DE541
