Need some help !!!! While enjoying a nice sunny day on the water, my Clarion radio simply stopped working. I apologize for not having the model number handy, but the unit is 14 years old (old tech LOL). Anyway, yesterday i inspected the entire fuse panel and could not find anything blown. I looked for in-line fuses behind the helm and couldnt locate any that were related to the radio wiring. Step 2 was a run through the radio manual, it said either a blown fuse or the radio needs a reset. I popped the front panel and hit the reset button, no luck. So questions:

1. could there be an in-line fuse behind the radio unit?
2. I have no clue how to remove the unit from the boat, the manual has nothing about install/removal, or that was in another set of paper work I dont have.

I am off to youtube for some surfing!

thanks!

My Clarion has 2 rubber bumpers on the face of the unit that pull off to reveal the mounting screws

No sure how to get the head unit out-mines mounted in the vanity so I just open that up to get at the wires-but there are definitely inline fuses for the radio. I think mine has 4 different ones.

I have a 215 EC....the radio is mounted over the sink and its completely enclosed(no access to the rear panel without pulling the unit from the housing). I ordered the Clarion brackets needed to pull the radio, i will check for those inline fuses. There has gotta be one behind the unit blown. THANKS !
