Hi,

I want to learn the systems of my boat so I'm doing the winterizing myself. I searched the forum for specific guideance before posting but I think I'm too unfamiliar with the terms for this to be effective.

According to the procedures, I should fill the fuel-water separator with gas and 2 oz of 2 cycle engine oil to "fog" the cylinders. Again, according to the procedures, I need to shut off the fuel and start the engine until it stalls.

I have electronic fuel injection and fuel shut-offs that are normally in the "off" position. It sounds like a manual override that allows you to place it in the "on" position.

My question is, how do I safely shut off the fuel supply in order to perform this procedure?

Thanks,

Michael.
