Recenlty bought a 2000 310 Sundancer. I have an easy question. On the heat/ac when we push heat I cannot get temp to change from 55 we have tried pushing buttons in several different sequences but no luck. Anyone know how to turn the heat up. The A/C worked great when we had it surveyed but we did not check heater that I know of.

Thanks,

BH

There's no way to determine at this point if there's a mechanical problem if you can't get the thermostat to kick the unit into operation. Hasn't it been below 55 degrees there? Once the cabin temp is below 53 or so it should come on, even if you can't adjust the t-stat.

Perhaps try disconnecting/restoring power to the unit. Can you adjust the setpoint on the thermostat when in cooling mode?

(I'm assuming you've got a reverse-cycle unit rather than straight cool with electric heat strip)

I can adjust the temp just fine when in cooling mode just not on heat mode?? The heat is kicking in and keeping the cabin approx 55 but no warmer due to the fact it will not adjust up in the heat mode.

Seems to me the problem would have to be with the thermostat control unit, since the unit operates properly when heat is turned on and the temp is low enough in the cabin.

I suggest you determine the make/model and check the manufacturer's manual (most are available online) for troubleshooting directions, or contact them for assistance.
