2 questions about 97 330 Da ??

The motors are 454 v drive carb motors. I see people on Ebay selling the complete fuel injection system off of newer version motors. Can the fuel injection system be installed on the carb motors??

I think the there are 2 types of heads oval ports and rectangular? Carb are oval and EFI are rectangle. Would using the rectangle gaskets seal up the oval ports . Also are the camshaft grinds different , and if so could the ECU compensate for the difference and run efficiently ??

Also this boat has a Brooks and Gates Elite Chart Plotter , it uses Navionics seamless chart-cartridge. ( looks like a pcmia laptop card )6 came with the boat from Clear water Florida to Key West. I need a Chart for Louisiana area ??? Anyone have any idea ? Everyone I call say its obsolete ?? I would be willing to trade if anyone has chart in my area ?? Thanks Dave

It's not worth installing the EFI system. There's no payback at all. Period. Don't bother.

Call Navionics. They usually offer older style chart media. Better yet, take the money you would waste by converting to EFI and buy a new Furuno plotter.
