1999 Sea Ray Sundancer 270
Engines
454 Mercruiser w/Bravo III Drive
My boat was made in Arizona and the templates are not available for a new cover like the Tennessee boats (believe Tenn. is the correct state)I know going the local canvas shop is the quickest route but the prices I'm dealing with are 1,300-1,500 for material and then add on labor which is bringing me to around 2k. See a few online retailers sell the Tennessee covers for 1,000 that are guaranteed to fit, but not on the Arizona boats.

Anyone have any luck locating a cockpit cover for the Arizona boats somewhere online? I already understand I would most likely have to install the snaps myself, not an issue at all just looking for a "retailer " out there that may have some type of template that fits this boat.
Thanks for any suggestions!!

Hi strace, I have the same boat and the same question. Did you end up figuring out if the off the shelf cover would work?

More than likely if the hull is the same the cockpit cover will fit. We have even had some limited success with other covers too. The problem is that the change records were not kept when the AZ plant was closed.

My main concern for the cockpit cover would be the cutouts for the bimini and camper frames. If you are interested in getting more information send me your boat info on our website (www.covemarine.com) and I will get you the mounting information for the frames. If you measure and verify that the are in the same placement then the cover should be good. In some cases there is not an equivalent model in the same year so we need to identify the closest match built elsewhere.

We are a CSR Sponsor and a distributor for Great Lakes. Our specialty is Sea Ray boat and we do quite a bit of business with factory replacement canvas and have been through trying to get covers for AZ boats before. We also run a CSR discount program for GLBT product so make sure you mention the site and give me your screen name in the comments.

I should note that all covers sold for boat with HINs like this will be provided without their guaranteed fit (for obvious reasons) and since the covers are non-stock made-to-order they are not returnable. Of course if there is a obvious manufacturing defect like an open seam when you receive the produce that is a different story.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Kevin, I'll reach out via the website.

No I did not locate an off the shelf cover that would work. I ended up going with a custom cover that was done locally.

Thanks for the reply. I talked with Kevin today and will very likely go for the off the shelf option from him after confirming my bimini and camper top mount locations are the same as the TN boats.
