1999 sundancer 290 speaker upgrade

I was looking at upgrading my stock clarion 6.5" with the Rockford fosgate m626 6.5". The new speakers would be about the same size but a half inch deeper, does anyone know the depth available in the speaker locations. Also where is the current 2 channel amp is located I want to replace with a larger one.
Let me know any mods you've made to same boat that have worked well I'm still open to new ideas

Well I am trying to upload pictures however it won't let me upload them. I took some six inch PVC pipe and and made them fit over the old holes so I could use any size speaker. E-mail me and I will send you some pictures of my changes.

I found the 6.5 inch speaker is my 98 were smaller than the 6.5 inch speakers I purchased requiring some cutting but it was easy work. I had no problems with the depth.

Also where is the current 2 channel amp is located I want to replace with a larger one.

On my boat the factory amp is below /behind the couch in themain salon. Might have to look for it ifit bench backing. No matter; it should beclose to the radio head.

On my 2000 model 270 the two channel amp is located in the same cavity as the radio headunit (screwed to the bottom of the cavity).
