Howdy. About to purchase (I think) this craft, which is in really nice shape. Dry weight is 4,300, and it's got the 260hp 5.7. Getting mixed messages on fuel consumption. Guy at the dealership says it should cruise around 28-30 and burn 13-15 gph. SS prop. Other sources lead me to believe it should be around 9-10. Based on the weight (4,300 dry)...etc...the 9-10 seems more in line under otherwise good operating conditions...28-30 mph around 3K RPM.

Any thoughts? Thanks--

IMHO..Plan on 13-15 gph in the best conditions.

If it's a carb'd 260 hp 5.7 I'll guess;
14 gph at say 26 mph.
If that's a 260 hp 5.0 mpi I'll guess;
11 gph at 28 mph.
Hard to beat mpi power... they like the higher rpms moreso than the carb'd engines.

I had this identical boat and year for 5 years. With my wife and me on board running at 3100 RPM (the natural smooth cruising rpm)which is cruising at aroung 26 MPH and trimming the outdrive slightly after planing we averaged 8-9 GPH. With additional loads you will increase to 11-14 GPH. This is great boat. Hope you enjoy is as much as I did.
