First is a 14x19 the correct stock prop for the boat?
How could I improve performance? Would a 4 blade prop help?
With Increased amount of passengers the boat doesn't plane out and will only do 21 knots once on plane. Any help would be appreciated. Please and thanks.

I have a 99 310 with 5.7s and v-drives. My props are 16 x 17. You can go on the Mercury website and find a listing for the correct ones

Caveman, I suspect that Greg has sterndrives. Greg can you verify? Assuming that is correct, 19" sounds about right. But, you can go onto Sea Ray's website and look up the prop chart for 1998. It's under "Owners".

Also assuming that 19" is correct for the time being, there's some other factors that can account for this. Just off the top of my head...

-- Improper trimming of the drive by the captain on take-off
-- Not using trim tabs for heavier loads
-- Damaged props
-- Dirty hull bottom
-- Needs a tune-up
-- Fuel quality
-- Tired engines

Since you're having an issue with both hole shot and top end it could, hopefully, be something as simple as user error or a dirty bottom.
