I just put my boat in the water last week and I opened the hatch cover in the cabin floor and there is 2" in the bilge!
- Is there a way to get this water to the bilge in the stern?
- If not, any suggestions other than sell the boat?
- Any ideas where the water is coming in from?
- Is the bottom I see the hull or a separate level?
I have used the sink in the bathroom very few times and I have yet to use the kitchen sink, so it cannot be from a connection for these.
The boat is under cover, so it's not from rain water entering the boat.
Any ideas you have are appreciated! Thank you

Vacuum the water out and then start eliminating possible sources. Does the water look to be fresh or is it rank and slimey indicating that it has been sitting in there since the last time it was in the water? I would dry it all out and either wait to see if it continues to fill just sitting in the slip and if not, hose off the front of the boat, it may be a leaking deck plate or possibly coming from your anchor locker. It may take a while to figure it out. One thing to do if you think it may be a hull leak is haul the boat with water in the forward compartment and see if it drains out some where.
Good luck,
CD

doesnt that area connect to the engine bildge area?? is there any water in the engine room?
