Hey all the engine sync didn't seem to work. Capt engaged sync slave was free but didn't follow master. Any tricks or is there an issue? I think it's a Sturdy synchronizer. Thanks Randy

I have a Sturdy Sync and you don't have to to anything different with the throttles - just power it on and as long as the throttles are close to being the same power, the unit will fine tune the slave to match the master within a few seconds. If that isn't happening, you'll have to check to see that the unit is actually getting power. You can test the unit at the dock while in Neutral easily enough. Before the engines are running, but with the ignitions "on" try turning on the sync and listen for the unit. It should make a "shuffling" noise as it sets itself up.

I've got a Sturdy unit as well. I've found that it is a little cantankerous to set sometimes. For me, the "sweet spot" to get it to engage in about 1,000 rpms. Sometimes it takes 3-4 tries to get it to set.
