Hi, I'm new to boating. I just bought this boat and have read the books, but can't find an answer to why the navigation light switch beeps 3 times when I hit the switch. The lights work. A depth finder was added that needs the nav light switch on to work. Could that be it? Any answer out there? Thanks.

Janet, I am in the same boat you are. I just bought a SeaRayder fx16 and it beeps constantly. It beeps when I turn it off and at several random times. The guy I bought it from said it beeps when it gets hot so I need to shut it off for a few minutes. If that is true I would like to know what I could do to fix the overheating problem.

Thanks Boatmailster, and Manimal....I broke out my manual. If the warning horn sounds continuously, it is due to overheating. After shutting down the engine, check water intake for obstruction. If no obstruction is found, this may indicate a blockage in the cooling system. Try using the flushing attachment to discharge the blockage, if unsuccessful have the unit checked by your dealer.

Hello, My girlfriend just bought a 1994 SeaRayder with 95hp. When given the throttle, it starts to go to the port and you cannot get it to go starboard or straight until you slow down to no-wake speed.Why causes this boat not to steer?
