1997 400 DA Refrigerator Replacement - what brands fit?

Well, I did. Not easy. The sliding hatch I am referring to is the one that slides over the door of the companionway. Not a big deal, but gives you a few more critical inches to angle the unit down more vertically. This allows you to not remove the cabinet or stairs. The old one can be deconstructed enough to not be an issue for removal. For the new refrigerator, I needed to take the outer frame off, and you need to GINGERLY take the support between the freezer and refrigerator out. You need to do this carefully as there is a tube in it maintains temperature between the two. Once I did that it slide in, but was still tight. Way easier than all the interior deconstruction that everyone is talking about. Make sure you cover the padded vinyl edges with several layers of duck tape or other padding. I scratched up my starboard side edging due to the tight fit. Hope this helps if you find that you are in a position to replace.
