Hello all,

I am learning all about this boat as I was just gifted it and currently have it on stands to start the restoration. So, I have done a lot of research and reading on this site, but I want to get some insight as I did not see anything about it.

The boat has the vacu-flush system with the macerator and overboard discharge seacock, my question is what is the second through-hull opening? Is this for seawater fill for the toilet? I saw this on a diagram in the manual.

If so, can the toilet still operate out of the water (for testing the systems) by using the on board water tank?

Thanks

If it is above the water line it maybe for your sinks. That drain water is usually not treated

They are both at the keel (bottom of the boat). One is for sure the seacock for the macerator.

I will take a picture and post layer today.

Do you have heat/ac? If so it is probably the raw water pickup - a marine heat/cooling system works like a heat pump but uses seawater to exchange the heat vs an open air coil like a home system. Vacuflush systems don't use raw water, they get (or should get) the water from your freshwater tank.

The logical guess, given the location (and the elimination of AC), would be a raw water washdown. However, it should be easy to identify by looking on the inside of the bilge and following the line.

Another possibility is that you are confusing that second thru-hull for the transducer. But you can check that by noting the lack of a hole, along with looking on the inside of the boat.

Lazy Daze.. I believe you are correct. (picture below) As I have not had a good look at the bottom of the boat since just getting it on the stands, I may have jumped the gun. Last night it looked like a "black hole", when it reality it is the transducer. My smaller boat, many years ago, had it installed on the transom so that is what I know. Thanks for the help.

now my questions is, can I hook up to this if I want to bye a fish finder/ chart plotter? This is just a depth finder currently, correct?

Correct - that ducer will not speak with a fishfinder. What you have there looks like the original ducer installed by Sea Ray (or at least someone copied the OEM installation). A transom mount (even on a smaller Sea Ray) would not have been OEM. So, for what you want to do, you may end up with 3 options for the install - in addition to the two mentioned, there is also a "shoot thru" the hull which would work with your model (some models it does not work so well).
