twin 7.4L 454's V drives
Our '96 Dancer with 7.4 Liter 454's and Weber carb's has a 200-300 rpm upward surge while running around 3100/3200 rpm (cruise power) sometimes it will straighten out, but mostly surge's up, then back down. throttles show couple inch split, until power settles down, then I am able to pull stbd. back to match port engine. Changed fuel seperator, I don't think the Weber's have a carb filter at the carb. Swapped the coil's, now thinking we may have a plug wire breaking down a bit. anyone else have similar experience?

Once had a surge but only at low RPM..
Went away after refueling.

are you sure it is a real surge, not just tach acting up. these tachs are known to have issues

Nope, she is surging. I can hear the out of sync engines, and the sync gauge confirms the Stbd. engine is surging up about two to three hundred RPM's..If it stays hi, I can bring the stbd. throttle back down to agree with the port, and the sync gauge is correct...

Hello,
Had the same issue on my port engine. 200-300 rpm surge at higher speeds. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor fixed my problem.
