1996 330 Cock Pit Heater

My cock pit heater on my 330 blows only cold air. Exactly how does this work? Is it electric? I have a switch for heat and cool, but the air does not get hot or cold. Any ideas?

Its heated with water from the engine like your car heater. The coil is under the helm seat and almost impossible to get at. If yours is installed you will see large black hoses running from the engine room up the starboard side of the engine room. Have you tried it when the engines are running and warmed up?

I have not tried with engines running. That's what I was wondering. I thought maybe that was how it worked, but wasn't sure. Sorry about the added space. It was late and there may have been alcohol involved.
