1995 440 Express Bridge Need help changing starboard impellor

My son is trying to change the starboard impellor and can't figure out how to get to it. It is diesel Caterpillar 3166TA engine. He says the port engine is easy to get to, but the starboard impellor is against the gunwhale and he can't figure access it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

My thoughts on the ideal boat mechanic are that he's about 5' tall, has a 38" sleeve length, weighs about 110 pounds, has muscles like a weightlifter and has a grip like a vise.

Is the problem that he can't get into the area where the impeller is? We have that issue with the impeller on the generator. I taught my wife how to do it because, while I could get in there it would take about 10 minutes to wiggle my way in, 10 minutes to change it and 15 minutes to wiggle out. She's in and out in about 15 minutes.

Yes, he just can't get to it because there is no room between it and the gunwhale.
