I am looking to buy a 1995 330 Express and need your input. Compared to the previous generation and newer generation is the 1995 330 Express 11'5" beam too narrow? Any other 1995 330 Express pros and cons are appreciated. Thanks, BoomerPilot

Are you talking about a 330 searay express cruiser or an express cruiser 33 by express cruiser? I have the 98 searay 330ec and I could not imagine it with an 11.5 beam. Mine is 13.6 and the stability is amazing. Not to mention the room in the cockpit and engine room. If u r speaking of the searay I would try to move up a couple years of your pocket allows and have the bigger beam.

Yes, sea ray express 1995 330. Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping to hear from some 330 with 11.5 beam express or sundancer owners.

I had two 330 Sundancers, both 1996's (the first one got hit by a BUI and the boat was totaled). I liked the boat that got totaled so much I bought one exactly like it.

I liked the 11'5" beam because the boat was easily trailerable. That might not be the case if your boat has a 13'6" beam (or even close to that). I have been on the EC's with their wider beam and it definitely makes a difference, but I don't think I'd have traded my Sundancers for the EC because of the design layout of the Sundancer. I liked the cockpit better.

I bought a 92' 330 EC last fall ( took possession just before labor day ). My boat has the 11' 5" beam. This is my first boat and so far so good. Had this boat had a 13' 6" - beam all the better , it seems to handle Lake Erie nicely with the 11' 5". When I first started to look at boats - I received two pieces of advice - "Life begins at 30' " and to "buy the widest boat possible in the desired length". Worked out well for me. Paul

I think the boat is perfectly proportioned in terms of length to beam. Handles and rides well. As far as pros and cons it depends on how you are going to use it. The EC layout to me is geared toward a couple vs. the SD layout which works better if you have kids. As with any used boat watch out for wet decks etc. and get a survey. Good luck!
