1993 SunSport 310 Engine hatch question

1993 Sea Ray SunSport 310. Wonder if anyone can assist or point me to the correct forum. Had some work done over the winter and now the electric cylinder only opens the engine hatch a few feet. I haven't used the boat much this year and was told there is a part missing. The mechanic is no longer in business so I stuck with trying to find this part.

From what I understand the hatch was removed to give easier access to the engines and on top of the cylinder that lifts the hatch there is an extension which seems to have gone missing and cant be found. This extension allows the hatch to be lifted another few feet enabling easy access the the engine compartment for a larger guy. I am having trouble trying to find a break down of this area to identify the part needed and get a part number to order this part. Any assistant would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Here's the 89 part's manual, not sure it's the same, but maybe you can tell us what exactly what part you need.

Thanks, Purchased a 310 SunSport, Problem is the hatch lifting mechanism only lifts it a few feet or so and unable to get in to service the engines. There use to be an extender bar bolted on the end of the cylinder that gave it another couple of feet. Due to some recent servicing it's come up missing and am unable to identify this part.
