We just had a 4.3 4bbl rebuilt and installed in the boat ourselves, it starts but runs bad and has no acceleration, it pops thru carb and exhaust every once in a while, the first set of plugs got fouled, put in new ones but still runs like crap. We thought it might be the coil..Nope!!, we thought it might be the stop throttle change gear switch, nope. we reset the distributor again, made sure firing order correct, I was wondering if the valves might be too tight, we are going to remove plugs and do a compression check tomorrow, any advise on where to look and try...thanks for your help
