I recently got a Pachanga 22 350 magnum and have had it out a few times now and would like to make a few changes. It currently has exhaust cans on it that the previous owner said are aftermarket, wether they are or not I don't know, but I'm looking to make the boat a bit louder, currently it is to me pretty quiet, so I'm going to take the exhaust pipe off the can and where the other one comes out and goes through the hull they are pretty close together especially if I rotate them a bit. like if I have a 90° elbow and it's a few inches long on one end it would reach, my question is I know it's not the best thing because it will likely rust faster but can I just use standard 4" Exhaust elbows from let's say a school bus? I have tons of exhuast in that size from the shop plus i can get it cheap if I need more, but will it work with the wet system? I don't see why It wouldn't? It's not like the water is separated from the exhaust gases is it maybe I'm being dumb and you guys are going to laugh I just haven't messed with I/o boats a ton except for doing engine swaps for other people or tearing the motor out for my personal use on other projects so I never paid attention much to that aspect.

Also what prop do you guys recommend? I want to be able to get the original 62-63mph but still have a holeshot, I do sometimes have a full tank of fuel and 2 adults between 140-150lbs, 2 adults around 290lbs and one around 350, or sometimes I'll have 2 or 3 adults and tow a tube. I don't want to lose top end though, atleast very little, I may get trim tabs if I can find a decent prop to keep my top speed if my holeshot is slightly sluggish. Currently I just have a crap 19p aluminum on the boat as the previous owner screwed me on a prop. Some folks claim they like the 21p mercuriser Mirage, some claim they like the Mirage Plus, others claim they like the original quiksilver cleaver prop better than the Mirage, others claim to get a laser, which one have you guys found to work best? Also the size and pitch (14-1/4 x21p etc)

Also this is a freshwater boat, no saltwater.

Prop questions. what are you getting for max rpm at wide open throttle right now? What rpm does your engine make max hp at?

It’s a Pachanga…..louder feels faster. :)
