Just purchased our first Sea Ray and found this site. Thanks for the add. Excited to learn about the boat and start the adventures. In the original brochure and owners manual that came with the boat, it says sleeps 6. It appears that both Salon couches can potentially be made into beds. The larger port side table drops down to cushion height, and the smaller starboard side table can be removed and a sliding piece of plywood can be pulled out. However, I have tried to reconfigure the cushions to make something that resembles a bed, with no luck. Is it possible that there are missing cushions that get stowed to complete the beds? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On our 310 the 2 filler cushions are stored under front cushions of the bed and the table stores in ac compartment

Thanks, I'll have a look. The only place I didn't look was under the master bed.

Question #2: I have the Quicksilver 7.5G generator made by Generac. Motor turns over, does not start. Will start on starter fluid. Appears no gas getting to carb. Fuel pump and filter are good. Cleaned carb and float seat seemed stuck. Now it starts but engine surges in RPM. Will only run smooth when I manually close the choke all the way with my finger. New Carb? New Govenor? New fuel solenoid? New everything? Where can these parts be purchased?

How does it fair when it's running and surging if you put a load on it?

My first step would be to check the governor oil level.
I checked the generator engine oil, and it's full. I was not aware there is a separate governor oil level?

If you have a mechanical governor (most likely), you'll have a drain and fill plug on the unit.

This is a Westerbeke but I assume they all look somewhat similar...

OK Great to know, thanks. Any advice on how full the oil needs to be and type of oil?

Do you have the manual for your gen set? I think I filled mine until it came out the top but I don't recall. I seem to think it was some straight weight motor oil but it's been a while. I'd definitely check the manual on the type of oil...

Yup, found the manual. We'll start there, thanks.
