1990 SeaRay 230 CC sending unit?

Can anyone give me an idea on where to find the gas tank sending unit on a 1990 SeaRay 230 cuddy cabin?

Here is a piece of the cockpit floor that lifts up. It is the piece between the under floor storage in the front of the cockpit, and the engine area. To get this floor section up there are screws that are accessed in the under floor storage area. You will find the fuel tank sending unit in the tank under this section of floor.

Did ya find it? Have ya done your other checks first, like wires to the gauge, ground test, and connections etc etc? Our 230 had a corroded terminal on the back of the gauge.

Not yet Monday is the day for that been working on the trailer. Total refurb top to bottom. Can tow with confidence now. Next is the gas gauge and trim gauge work. I'll let you know tho.

It was such a beautiful day on Lake Ontario that I didn't get to the sending unit but i did look at the gauge and the piece of floor that needs to come up. Finally some nice weather in the north east. Gonna get to it Wednesday. Darn job keeps interfering

I want to thank you for the advise and directions. I found the sending unit and it had a lose ground wire right at the tank. I gave the nut 1/4 turn and bingo I now have a gas gauge that works again. I did however leave a pair of needle nose under the floor. Another day. Next will be the trim tab gauge it works in opposite direction. Thanks again.

Awesome that it was a simple ground wire.
