Has anyone measured their 39 Express to see what the true measurements are?
I am curious the marina measured my1990 39 Express to be 14'3'' wide and 42'3'' long. Just curious to see if this is the true measurement of a 39 Express? The factory shows 13'11'' x 41'10''

I believe you meant 13'11" X 41'10"". If you have an anchor protruding from the pulpit they are probably correct on the length. The 14' X 3" may be measured of a the side rails if they are hanging off the side of the boat a little. Sounds like they want to charge by the square foot for either the slip or land storage.

True, in our 46 years of boating we have never been charged no more than what the factory specs show. Seems as though the marine industry is trying to get every penny they can out of boaters in this day and age. So that being said it is sad to say why we have decided to sell. There were alot of good times and good friends through out the many years we have made in boating, that we will miss. Also the fact that we have a second winter home in Florida plays into the decision to sell. We do have other hobbies to go back to. One of them is building street rods and street machines again. Have a big pole barn to go back to and build these cars. It will be a nice change.
Someone will get a real nice boat when they buy ours. With our extensive background in car building it came in handy on the boats we owned and maintained.

The marina upcharging you a couple inches on length and width has prompted you to sell the boat?

No the marina up charge has little to do with it. In the 46 years we have been boating there has been alot of changes in the boating industry. And we are ready to move back into street machines and street rods full time. As I said that was our other interest. As you can see this was just one of the vehicles we built through the years
