Hello everyone,

My wife and I bought our first boat at the end of last season. A 1990 280 DA, on the paperwork from the selling dealer it list the engine hours as 716hrs port and 723 starboard. For the life of me though I cannot find where the hour meters are at on this boat. I've searched through the engine compartment, battery storage compartment, dash area, main electrical panel. I'm at a loss as to where they are at on the boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris and Heather

My friend had 88 300 DA.. If I remember correctly his hours meters were up at the helm, under the keys down at shin level.

A 1990 280DA was out first boat too!!! Congrats on it. We spent many wonderful weekends on her!! She is comfortable and ran well out on the bay. We added central air which was a great 2800 dollar addition to her.

The hour meters on ours were located way down low at the helm directly below the throttles. Those hours on that boat are pretty light as ours had that many when we sold her over 8 years ago...

Enjoy!!!

Ours leaked like a sieve... Around the windows, forward hatch and around the center bow rails. Had one nastly leak there on the starboard rail that would stain the heck out of the headliner. I talked to Sea Ray and they said the only way to actually get at the hardware to re-seat the rail would be to remove the little hatch over the galley completely, rip down about a foot of the headliner and that was it... Too much for us so we had a wet headliner for years...

Thanks for the reply guys. When we get back down there next weekend we'll look around for them. The original owner can't remember if there even was an hour meter on the boat.

Thanks again,

Chris
