1990 220CC refresh

The switches came in today. They look really nice! I've got the gauges on the way now. All the lights are coming now...this thing is coming together. My marina is supposedly working a deal on the platform. I'll post the price once it's hanging off the back of my boat. :)

There's not much to show in the way of pictures, but when there is I'll take a few.

Ok, so here's a picture of the 4 in 1 gauge.

Here's one of the 11 switches.

It's not much in the way of pictures...but it's all I have right now.

Ordered the platform today. Dropped off the switches and realized that I hadn't had one made for the windless so now NewWire is making one for me. The interior guy is dragging his feet, but it's looking like we have about 3-4 more weeks and she should be done. Well, at least for the most part...anyway, she's coming together. There is NO WAY I'd have gotten all of this stuff done this winter doing it myself!

Got the interior shop in line. We're pulling everything ourselves and they are doing everything in their shop. Then we install it all. It's a big savings in money.

We're putting black non skid gel on the dash top...or the area below the windshield. I can see it now and I think it's going to be really nice...

With the interior out I got to inspect all of the areas that are hidden. The boat is rock solid. In the back of my mind I've always wondered if the boat might need transom or stringer work. So far she's good to go. I picked out the patent for the instrument panel today, it's going to be black carbon fiber.

I'm researching the windshield work now. We have to remove it to get the dash top rolled in black. While it's off we may take the opportunity to powder or ceramic coat it if that's an option. I have no idea on costs but I'll post them when I find out. I also wonder about cleaning the frames, prepping with self etching primer and painting with a high quality paint?

The platform is installed! Check it out y'all...

Look at the rom this thing adds to the back of the boat!

Another angle.

Man am I ready for summer!

About 1/2 the lights are in now. The interior shop says late next week on the interior job.

I also just told the mechanic that I want shore power with a battery charger, 2 outlets and a control panel....hey, it's only money, right?!?!?

That Looks Great! I am thinking of doing that to our 270. Just got a tender and I bet it would just about sit on that platform. Did you install it or have a shop do it? just wondering how difficult it would be for a lay person.

The platform could be done by two people in an afternoon...I just don't have the time right now. Especially with the interior out of the boat, the access to the inside of the factory platform is very open. The fit and the quality of the platform is really impressive.

I picked up the interior from the shop today. They did a pretty good job from what I saw. Although they cut out places for the old dash mounted electronics...so I took that part back for them to redo. I should have it all back tomorrow. Some of the LEDs are in now. The shore power and battery charger are in as well as two electrical outlets. We were at 70 this Saturday....I'm starting to get the itch to get on the lake! Although there's a chance of sleet or freezing rain tomorrow. :smt009

They still have a lot to do to get it all back together. They are saying by the end of the month so we'll see if that holds true. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow even though the boat is a mess.

Just talked to the marina, looks like the boat should be ready in about two weeks. I don't think I've ever been more ready for spring and I am this year!

Marina called, they said she'll be ready tomorrow. I'm hoping to get over there on Saturday to pick her up. I'll get lots of pics...I'm actually a bit nervous for some reason.

Probably some anxiousness mixed in there, as well. Good luck.

Yea, good luck. Today's gonna seem long eh?

Yeah, anxious...hoping they didn't screw anything up, wondering if they forgot anything. I'll call them in the morning to see if they're ready for me.

Finally got to see the boat this morning. I did nit pick a few things but overall my vision for the boat is coming together. I was pleasantly surprised to see how it's looking. I did sneak a few pics. The boat is FILTHY and they didn't want me to take pics until it's cleaned up, but I couldn't resist!

Here is the cockpit- The right side back to back seat is misaligned...the interior shop is going to make an adjustment to line up the bottom with the back.

The blue lights are the indirect lights in the gunnels.

This shows the indirects in the gunnels and the new floor lights...she's gonna be bright at night.

The helm area. The trim switches in the old throttle were sticking and intermittently inop...plus the throttle and shift cables were pretty worn, so we went with a new one and cables.

And the my favorite part, the panel...welcome to the 21st century baby! The pictures don't do it justice, but to say I'm happy with it is an understatement. The wheel now looks horrible, so we ordered a new one today.

So there's the sneak preview-
The lights in the floor storage compartment and the engine compartment are really bright and exactly what I'd hoped for. I'll get more pics when they get done and she's all cleaned up.

That's looking really great - I like contrasting piping. The gauges look nice with the 4-n-1 - really keeps the dash "cleaner" and uncluttered. I assume you're just using GPS speed? Looks just fine that way - there's really no need to have a dedicated speedometer. Some Sea Ray cruisers, in the not-so-distant past, didn't even come with a speedometer from the factory.

Looks Real Nice! Love the LED indirect lighting, been thinking of doing something similar on the Wendy Lee.
